About Hampton Roads Barber Academy
The History of HRBA
In 1985 the first shop was opened in Norfolk VA. Across from NSU and grew quickly. By 1989, Kappatal Cuts had a series of commercial barber shops and soon, a school under their management. In The 1990’s KCM property management was brought online, and by 1996 owned over 19 barbershops and three schools in the Hampton Roads region.
2021 Hampton Roads Barber Academy was founded and continues to uphold the tradition of excellence in the barbering industry.

MISSION STATEMENT:
The purpose of Hampton Roads Barber Academy is to build a foundation of excellence in Barbering and to be the preferred source of education by guaranteeing competent graduates. It is our aim to provide students with the knowledge and technical proficiency that will make them employable upon graduation and receiving their license.
